  • Lets draw a picture of a helicopter!
    You can email it to someone special using ArtBug!


    Select the felt-pen with the second smallest circle.
    Draw a line like mine for the top of the helicopter.
    It's a bit like a small, long hill.

  • Draw a short line down on the front of the helicopter.
    Draw a curve to the tail end of the helicopter,

  • Draw a two helicopter blades and attach them to the helicopter like I did,
    Draw a tail fin on the helicopter.
    Don't worry if your helicopter looks like a fish right now!
    Ask a grown up why "streamline" fish and "aerodynamic" helicopters are similar shapes.

  • Draw a blob on the side of the helicopter like this

  • Draw an out-line for the glass of the pilot's wind-sheild

  • Select a square.
    Draw the part the helicopter's wheels are attach to.
    Select a circle.
    Draw the helicopter's wheels.
    Now your helicopter has landing gear.

  • Select the bucket tool.
    Click inside the helicopter to fill it in with black.
    Don't click in the glass part the pilot looks through.
    If bits don't fill properly you can use the felt-pen and a small circle to fill them in.

  • Fill in the part that joins the propellers to the helicopter.
    Select a mid-grey, fill in the pilot's glass wind-screen.
    Select the felt-pen a small circle.
    Add some detail to the helicopter's door area.
    Choose the second smallest circle and add a middle to the wheels.
    Now choose white and draw a light on the helicopter.

  • Select a dark blue.
    Click on the moon shape if your want to make your blue darker.
    Click on the page around the helicopter to draw night time.

  • Select white and a star shape.
    Draw stars around your helicopter.
    Choose the biggest circle.
    Draw a full moon.
    Choose the spray, light blue and the smallest circle.
    Spray a light beam coming from the front light, use the wet brush tool to smudge it.

  • If my helicopter was flying, it's blades would be moving so fast we would not be able to see them!
    So let's land this helicopter!
    Choose the felt-pen, black and a medium sized circle.
    Draw some ground for this night-time helicopter.
