ArtBug Mail

Lets draw a picture of the space shuttle!
You can email it to someone special using ArtBug!

You will need:
1. a piece of white paper
2. pencils - black, red and blue.
3. a normal pencil, but a softer 2B or 4B is better.
4. an eraser

These first markings are guide-lines you will erase later, draw them lightly.

1. Draw a long thin rectangle for the main body of your Space Shuttle.
2. Draw two more rectangles for the backs of your Space Shuttle's wings.
3. Draw a square and a triangle on top for the start of your Space Shuttle's top fin.
4. Draw a pointed cone for the nose of your Space Shuttle like this.

1. Draw more of your Space Shuttle's wings like I have below.
2. Draw a slope from the nose cone to the top of the long rectangle.
3. Draw another rectangle on the back of the tail fin.

Draw around the outline of your Space Shuttle and erase the guide-lines.
Draw a booster jet along the side at the back like this.

Draw detail on your Space Shuttle as indicated in the diagram.
Don't write the words or draw the arrows!

1. Color in your Space Shuttle picture.
2. Either use safety scissors to cut it out, then put it on black paper, or
paint around it with black paint and let it dry.
3. Scan your picture into ArtBug Mail, add stars if you like.
4. Choose the name of someone special you want to make happy with this super Space Shuttle!
5. Click send!

5..4..3...2...1 BLAST OFF! Your picture has now zoomed off to your own art gallery too!
